First 2010 work+ a sig tutorial

I picked up a rendered and played with it a little bit.
Here's the render, it actually has a great quality:

As you can see I played with a lot. It has 13 layers. I started of by choosing the part of the render I want to incorporate in my sig. Thought the upper part is quite representative. I noticed that there are two sources of light on ther render. And that started me off on the background. Filled a new layer with orange, used lighting effects and placed 2 spotlights.
Added a photofilter layer on the the render and played with it's blending mode. Then added a quick mask on the whiter parts of the render and also played with it's blending mode. Then added the original render which eas much bigger. I wanted to show more detail on the mask. Duplicated the render and smudged it. Added some splatter. And a C4D to make it more interesting. At the end I added the border. With most of those layers I changed blending options.

Here's the next signature, material I used to make it and right after it a tutorial explaining how it was created. Have fun ;)
The following texture comes from struckdumb.deviantart.com free stock.
